Bail out on errors

Reported by Martin Stjernholm | March 14th, 2009 @ 09:42 AM

Thanks for grb - it definitely fills a need.

The bug: grb should bail out immediately if one of the git commands fails. See below for an example showing how it plunges on after errors have occurred. (Fortunately it failed to delete the old branch at the end.)

grb rename multi-cpu mast/multi-cpu git_remote_branch version 0.3.0

git push mast/multi-cpu multi-cpu:refs/heads/multi-cpu fatal: 'mast/multi-cpu': unable to chdir or not a git archive fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly

git fetch mast/multi-cpu fatal: 'mast/multi-cpu': unable to chdir or not a git archive fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly

git branch --track multi-cpu mast/multi-cpu/multi-cpu fatal: A branch named 'multi-cpu' already exists.

git checkout multi-cpu Already on "multi-cpu"

git push mast/multi-cpu :refs/heads/multi-cpu fatal: 'mast/multi-cpu': unable to chdir or not a git archive fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly

git branch -d multi-cpu error: Cannot delete the branch 'multi-cpu' which you are currently on.

Holy crap! Sorry for the delay in the response. I thought Lighthouse would email me or something.

I'll definitely look into this as soon as I get the opportunity.

    Thanks for the feedback!
